Ricky Megee is an Australian man who gained international attention in 2006 when he claimed to have survived being lost in the Australian Outback for 71 days. Megee, who was working as a drug runner at the time, said he had been abducted by two men and left in the desert without food or water.
Megee was found by a group of aboriginal hunters and was taken to a hospital for treatment. However, his story was met with skepticism by authorities who believed that he may have fabricated the ordeal to avoid prosecution for his drug trafficking activities.
Despite the controversy surrounding his story, Megee was never charged with any crimes related to his disappearance. He has since written a book about his experience titled "Left for Dead: How I Survived 71 Days in the Outback".
